Run United 2013
The first of the Run United 2013 series was held last March 17, 2013. I honestly didn't think I would be able to run last Sunday. We arrived at the race area 30 minutes after the official gun time. Would you believe that? On a Sunday morning, when everyone was supposed to be still asleep, I can't believe how dense the traffic was, going to the Mall of Asia.
It was specified on the rules that runners are only allowed to run 15 minutes after the official start of the race. So I was thinking of the registration fee that went down the drain. I can laugh at it now, but last Sunday, I was probably still scowling inside the taxi despite the effort to put on a straight face.

Running in the Rain

| Running in the rain |
Sunday morning was really humid. I have not started running and I already felt warm, the kind that makes you feel sticky and queasy. As we were walking towards Quirino Grandstand where we usually jog, I was already thinking I wouldn't last 30 minutes of jogging because the heat is making me tired already. Summer has really come...or so I thought.

Running Playlist: Praise and Worship Songs

| Running with Music |
It's a Sunday run, and I thought why not start the day with praise and worship music? It's a good way to prep me up for Sunday service after the run. That way I got ahead of the worship team hahaha!

Of Run United, Riovana and Finding the Right Running Shoes
A couple of weeks ago, we were already deliberating what running event we were going to sign up for. As I've mentioned after the PhilHealth run, it's either the Run United on the 17th or the OFW run on the 24th. I wish we could run in both, but it's going to be a bit costly with the registration fees.
We decided on Run United, so went to Riovana at Bonifacio Global City to register. It was a long way off from our place and we could have registered online but we wanted to be able to fit the singlets and not wear over sized singlets as what happened with our recent run. We also wanted to check out Coach Rio's store and scout for some running gears.
