Taking a Short Break...From Work and Blogging

Taking a break
I have been writing about running in most of my recent posts. I guess when you're passionate and excited about something, you can't help talking or writing about it. Some even have blogs solely for running, and I am evaluating my own blog, seeing that it is morphing into that hehehe. In some ways, running has helped me get my mind off hypertension.

I'd still like this blog to be about good health, and not just about running. Right now, I would have wanted to write about something else relating to general health like healthy foods for hypertension, but I seem to be in vacation mode already. I can't bring myself to do some research anymore to supplement the article.  Besides, I have to make sure everything is in order at work before I take my leave.  Technically, I will be in vacation starting this afternoon. Yup, I'm getting a good head start from other travelers. I do not want to stress myself by waiting in line for 3 hours just to get a bus ride. That happened last year when I went home to the province on a Maundy Thursday. So now, I am going ahead of everyone else, by hook or by crook hahaha!

So, this is just a short post to let you, my blog friends know that I did not disappear (knowing that internet connection is not that stable where I'm going) but I'm just taking a long break to relax, unwind, and enjoy time with my mom and nephews in the province.   I don't know if I could call it de-stressing because with three very naughty nephews who constantly bicker about the smallest things, auntie's throat might get a good exercise as well hahaha!  With them hounding me, I hope I could still find some quiet time to reflect (maybe when they're all asleep hehehe).  But it sure is great to have a change of scene and be with the ones I care about most.

Until next week!  Stay healthy everyone!

  16. I'm a fan of running, myself. Recently, I've been adding hoola-hooping in my workouts, too. (Just to make things interesting for me.) So far, my hip muscles and waist are aching every time the hoop passes. hahah!!

  29. I also had a vacation from my two smaller kids, although I missed them. But where I was at, there was no Internet connection for free. I had to pay $0.65/minute of usage. Gosh! Hope you enjoyed your break!
