LilySlim Exercise days tickers

ABOUT

To every journey, there is always that driving force that compels you to either take those small steps or make those giant leaps.  One step at a time...that is how I would like to embark on my journey towards a healthier lifestyle.  I thought it would be a good idea to document this, whether I achieve my goals or not.  It's the journey that matters most.

It just had to take a set of numbers to burst my bubbles.  I had always thought I am as healthy as can be.  After all, I don't feel anything strange with my body.  But I guess hypertension creeps up on us unexpectedly, hence it's alias, the Silent Killer. Although I am genetically pre-disposed to this condition, it is a bit too soon for me.  I am not yet in my 40's, and I have always thought I am healthier than most people my age.  I guess that turns things around for me, a wake up call of some sorts.  And this would probably be a lifelong battle that I have to wake up to every day for the rest of my life.

What I will be writing here are simply my own experiences on how I try to hold this condition at bay, or possibly to still reverse it.  These are not absolutes as we are all genetically different.   I hope that somehow, this blog will inspire you, the readers to take on the challenge of being as healthy as humanely possible and take on a lifestyle of wellness....of the mind, body, and spirit.
